As the industry expanded more and more the urban population increased dramatically and the demand for agricultural
products. In the middle of the 19th century there were the first attempts to use steam engines for plowing. In the early
20th century, the first tractors were then used with internal combustion engines to facilitate work and increase
productivity in agriculture.
With the development of the chemical industry the use of chemical fertilizers and drugs to fight agricultural pests
and plant diseases. But this again is declining as the buyer of all products pay attention to naturally grown products
and - if possible - confirm to the hallmark of biological cultivation.
